Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how FocusMind ("the app", "we") handles information when you use the FocusMind app on Android or iOS. FocusMind does not require an account or login of any kind.

2. Data that stays on your device

The core of FocusMind -- your app usage history, the daily limits you set, your Focus Session history, and streaks -- is stored locally in a database on your device only. It is never uploaded to us or to any third party, and we have no way to access it.

On Android, this data comes from the system's Usage Access permission (UsageStatsManager). On iOS, app selections for limits are handled entirely by Apple's Screen Time framework (FamilyControls / ManagedSettings / DeviceActivity); Apple deliberately never exposes which apps you selected to FocusMind or to us -- we only receive an opaque, anonymous token, by Apple's design.

Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this local data.

3. Data we do collect: anonymous analytics

We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used -- for example, which screens are opened, whether a notification led to a Focus Session, or whether a feature is used at all. These events are tied to an anonymous, Firebase-generated device identifier, not to your name, email, or any account.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information, because the app never asks for it.

4. What we never do

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers. FocusMind has no ads and no ad SDKs. We do not build advertising profiles from your usage data.

5. Third-party services

Firebase Analytics (Google) -- anonymous usage analytics, as described above. See Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Apple Screen Time framework (iOS only) -- used to enforce app limits; governed by Apple's own privacy practices, which we cannot see behind.

6. Data retention & deletion

Local usage/limit/session data is deleted the moment you uninstall the app. To request deletion of the anonymous analytics data associated with your device, contact us at the email below with your device model and approximate first-use date.

7. Children's privacy

FocusMind is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. The app is a personal focus tool for the device owner, not a parental-control or child-monitoring product.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The date below reflects the latest revision; continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
