Why does FocusMind ask for Screen Time / Usage Access permission?
That permission is what lets FocusMind measure your app usage and enforce the daily limits you set. On Android it's the system "Usage Access" permission; on iOS it's Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. Without it, FocusMind can't show usage insights or shield apps.
Does FocusMind know which apps I've limited on iOS?
No. Apple's Screen Time framework deliberately keeps app selections private, even from the app that requested them -- FocusMind only receives an anonymous token, never the app's name or icon. This is an Apple platform restriction, not a FocusMind limitation.
How do I remove a daily limit?
Open App Usage Management from the Home screen, select the app, and remove or edit its limit.
I ended a Focus Session early -- did I lose my streak?
No. FocusMind's streak only counts completed sessions; ending one early simply doesn't add to the streak, it doesn't erase what you've already earned.
Does FocusMind work without an internet connection?
Yes. Usage tracking, limits, and Focus Sessions all run entirely on your device.
